Для меня, эти простые печенья напоминают вкус лета, так как они по вкусу как лимонад в форме печенья.. Они очень быстро выпекаются и отлично подходят для пикников. Не густой, как торт. Это как солнечный свет во рту, ощущаешь лето с каждым кусочком

Chocolate Banana Pops

Chocolate Banana Pops

Serves: 4

Kid Friendly Tasks: Banana masher

These are a take on frozen bananas dipped in chocolate, only my bananas were overripe so they wouldn’t have worked for frozen bananas. Instead I made puree and goosed it a bit with some sugar (it’s still better than ice cream!) Then I added the mandatory chocolate on top. These are even better than banana pops (added sugar will do that for you).

This are my favorite summer dessert for picnics. Something about them being lemonade in bar form perhaps. I love that the keep well and are that bright sunny yellow. Whenever I’m not making smores I’m making these to share.

Restaurant Style Sweet and Sour Chicken

So I like old school American style Chinese food. The fake stuff that no self respecting Chinese person would see as remotely Chinese. I like the real stuff too, but like the Americanized version of a lot of different ethnic dishes, I feel there is a place for both. This chicken dish sits firmly, with its huge helping of ketchup, on the American side of the line.

I know, I know, just pop open a can, wash the slime off and be done, right? Why make your own beans when, truth be told they taste very similar (if slightly less mushy) then the ones in the can. Well, because I’m on a South American kick, because I can, because that weird slime they are packed in never quite washes off, because it’s cheaper, because I wanted to try something new.
