Kid Friendly Tasks: Measuring Spices

We’ve been doing a lot of round the world cooking again and this time I’ve been making hummus to go as a side dish to everything. This hummus is so good that even my kids will eat it. I like to give it to them as a snack with veggies or pretzels to eat after school. If you want smoother, richer tasting hummus you can up the oil from what I have listed. This will not have that truly smooth consistency. The water from the chickpeas stands in for the oil a bit in making it taste smoother, but doesn’t coat the tongue quite like oil would. It does, however, have far fewer calories. I think it’s almost as good.
